Hike Mount Hood

Mount Hood is a dormant volcano and Oregon's highest summet. The peak is snow covered year round and the base of the mountain is surrounded by six lakes. There are over 158 hiking, biking, and running trails of all difficulty levels. Day passes are $5.

Explore the Columbia Gorge Waterfalls

The Columbia Gorge Waterfalls offer stunning views and a beautiful landscape. There are 90 waterfalls to discover, with the highest concentration of waterfalls in the country. Many can be viewed from the road, but even more are hidden along the paths. It is a 30 minute drive from Portland, and parking is $5 per vehicle.

Visit the Oregon Zoo

Located in Portland, the Oregon Zoo is a great place to take a break from the busy city. The zoo houses over 2,585 animals and 215 different species. The zoo is divided into five exhibit areas, ranging from the Great Northwest to the Pacific Shores. Regular admission is $17.95 for adults and $12.95 for children.
